    HSE Volume Control

    Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has installed this product into any of the '07 Super Air models? I would like to also say that I am completely electronically inept, but how hard would it be to install this product? Or does anyone know where I can have it installed in So Cal area?

    Thanks,
    Erik

I have one installed with my Clarion CMD5. It's no harder than installing an EQ, tuning it in will take a bit more time. You might also consider the boost box, same concept but works on tilt/vibration versus RPM input. The Boost Box simply plugs into the Clarion remote harness. HSE has good customer support, mine is strapped right under my head unit, I dialed in the tuning of the unit before the final mount. The hardest part of the HSE installation in a team equipped boat is finding the tach lead.

I am running the boost box and like it. It installs in ust minutes and you dont need to retune the system. Just plug and play...

Thanks for the feed back. I like the HSE but finding the tach is what worries me, since I have never done anything like that. The boost box might be the best bet. Does the Boost Box still allow you to set a high and low volume or does it just turn it on and off?

        Thanks

It works just like the HSE in the way it regulates the volume. It just adjusts it through the head unit via the remote outlet. I can still have a high and low volume.

Does the boost box only work with the CMD4 and 5 or will it work with any clarion with the factory hard line remote?

Re: The Boost Box - Automatic Volume Control

The boost box is compatible with all Clarion models including CMD-6 using the IR emitter cable.

The boost box is compatible with Clarion models up to the CMD-5 via hard wired remote cabling.

Depending on your preference, the sales team can set you up with the correct cable for your model.

Please feel free to contact our sales team, or myself for direct technical support.
