Bought "new" 2008 230 with no amp and sub

i've have learked long enough, ive spent countless hrs on the site and have bought 2008 230 SANTE that is still at the factory.
its mint with a black hull/full throttle package, etc. it has one set of tower speakers, when it was ordered it had the larger amp deleted as well as the subwoofer. ive talked to mark at earmark (happens to be close to my house) and im debating what to do with the stereo. ive done tons of searches on here and just want some input
im considering doing the polk sub in ported box vs wet sound xxx ported. also gonna do the wet sound 420. amp ideas suggestions, i dont want to go bananas, also gonna replace the titan speakers with the wetsound retrofits when they come out. sorry for the rambling

Do the wetsounds sub over the polk. The two really don't even compare. I have had both and the xs-xxx will kill the polk in all aspects. The 420 is also a must.

I don't know Mark @ Earmark, but I've spoken to David there a couple times. Let them do all your stuff. I wish I was close to them so they could have done mine.

With the overall size a 230 it should not be a problem. You can never have to much bass in my opinion so go for gold.

You can never have too much "tight" bass. You can definitely have too much boomy bass.
