what wire gauge for battery negative ( 4 amp installation)
The path that the current flows through from the positive battery post to the + side of the amp has to close the circuit by going out from the - side of the amp back into the battery, now into the negative battery post. You should use the same gauge to feed the load (amp) on both sides of the circuit, one being the positive lead and the other being the negative.
