    Anyone with 5=channel Alpine PDX-5

    Hey guys,

Question on installing my PDX-5. The instructions say to be careful when connecting the speaker wires because the subwoofer quick disconnect is different than the other 4. Problem is that I cannot tell any difference between any of them. Has anyone run into this before? How can I tell them apart?

    Thanks.

If anyone is interested, I spoke to Alpine tech support and they told me there is no difference in any of the plugs and that note should not have been included in the installation instructions.

I never saw that instruction. They all looked identical to me. Great purchase by the way. I am very happy with mine. It allowed me to replace my monoblock, wire all my in cabin speakers to it, and then use my existing 4 channel amp in bridged mode for my tower speakers. My tower speakers are now audible at 75' at half volume on my WS-420. Before, they were audible only at full volume. Headroom is sweet.

        Chexi,

I'd love to see what you put in, I am putting in a new head unit which will power the cabin, and a bridged four channel for the tower. I'm also planning to get a sub and amp to power that.
