    sub mount in 230

I have a 236 and am thinking of doing an IB sub intall in drivers footwell or in side wall behind driver like the new boats. Any advice or pics here? Also who makes the best IB sub for the money. I will be pulling 2 12 pioneers from the under the storage that were in a seeled enclosure looking for similar performance from just one new sub that is exposed rather than hidden uder the seat.

Check out Wetsounds XXX 12'' sub. I've got one with a syn1 and, in the correct box, wow.

      Dave,

JL Audio definitely has the premier infinite-baffle subwoofer for the staboard coaming.

I can't envision how this same sub would apply to under the driver's helm console as it would be very difficult to create a mounting panel that would provide an airtight fit over the top. While an IB 10-inch wants to see free-air (3 cu. ft. or larger to infinity) it does require strict front-to-rear isolation in the immediate proximity.

If there is adequate room under the helm console, then convert to an acoustic suspension woofer in a sealed or bass-reflex enclosure for this application.
