Sub mount on 2009 2XX TE

I have an 2007 Nautique 220 and was considering moving my sub to the location that is used on 2009s. I currently have my sub in a large enclosure that takes up most of the space under the port observers seat. After removing the ballast guages and looking in I can see there is plenty of space behind the wall in the gunwale near the drivers seat. It doesnt look like it would be hard to do but I am not sure how it would perform in that space Vs the enclosure it is in now. If anyone has information on how it is done with the 2009 or 2010 models it would be interesting to hear.
