I am looking for information from people who have a PA system connected to tower speakers. How do they work? Are the tower speakers still connected to the stereo system? If so, how is the system wired? Are the stereo and PA systems totally separate or do they work together? Is a PA system useful? Suggestions on brands/models?

Most of us that have pa systems use the wetsounds ws420. It works great! It also gives you the ability to adjust everything in your boat for example you can turn the tower speakers down or off completely if you want, or the in boat speakers down or off, or the sub. As for the pa system it is more of a fun thing to have than a necessity. Usually we hollar at the rider "Do a raley" or something goofey. It is just fun to have. I will say it helps with new riders to give them pointers though.Current: 08 Super Air 210 Team

I had the same setup (WS-420) on my 230, and I loved it. I mostly used the PA to yell at idiot boaters for following too closely, or following directly behind my rider.

Yes, Bazooka does make a P.A. system but its only a P.A. It has none of the other WetSounds WS420 features such as dual zone controls, dual equalizers, six-channel higher voltage line drivers and more.
You may or may not have a use for the added WS420 benefits, but for the extra cost I consider it a bargain. There are other P.A./amplifier/speaker combo packages that don't have the power to be effective as either a P.A. or wakeboarding speaker.

One more vote for WS-420. Personally, for what you get, I think it is inexpensive. I bought mine primarily for the easy ability to change volume levels independently for the tower speakers and in-cabin speakers. The PA system was just an added benefit, but it has come in handy. Sometimes the rider is trying to tell the driver something and the driver does not understand what the rider is trying to say. The driver is then able to say, "your what hurts?" and figure out through the process of elimination what the rider is trying to tell him/her. It is also good for instruction. I used it a few weeks ago and helped a relatively new rider get more pop and get both HS and TS wake to wakes all during his set.Now

Want to install tower speakers
I have a 2008 210 with the stainless steel tower. The stock speakers and amp are Clarion, which sound just fine. However, I would like to add tower speakers, which I understand involves an additional amp. If I understand this thread, the Wetsounds WS-420 is an amplifier that will also allow individual control of the tower speakers vs the stock speakers.
Can someone send me photos of a WS-420 installation, which looks like it would be an "underdash" install.
On the same note, I have been trying to find Titan Tower speakers, but I understand they may no longer be available. Are the Alpha II's a significant upgrade from the Alpha I's. And what about Wetsounds speakers. Are they something I would want.
