Polk Momo 6650's in a 1996 Super Sport?

I know the 1996 originally came from the factory with back mounted clarion 5 1/4's, but can you front mount 6.5's without drilling out the combing pad?

I'm not sure about 94, but in 98 you can. The Polk DB651 needs a 5" mounting hole to top mount it.

My 95 SSN came with 6 1/2s and if you try to front mount them using the stock PVC components the speakers stick out too far and you have almost nothing to screw into. It is best to make some new spacers.
