i remember when they first started up and i think all they offered was the 485 and maybe the 80's. now there is a plethora of speakers, amps, grills, accessories. as an audiophile i really appreciate what they do for the marine audio industry. what will it take for correct craft to hop on board with them? i'm not buying a new boat for years and years to come, but i'd still like to see it happen. wouldnt it be great to order a boat with the option of a 420, xs-12, and syn amps? i can't think of a single person who would prefer the polk stuff, even though they make great stuff. what do ya'll think?

my perfect setup would be: double up on the tower powered by syn 4, xxx powered by syn 1, sw65 all around powered by syn 4, 420, and maybe two 80's on the top of the tower powered by a syn 6 that also powers a xs-12 behind drivers seat. a few optima's on the port side, auto isolator, and an alpine deck. i think that would pretty much cover everything. also, is there any reason to believe that one day we'll be able to adjust tower volume while riding?Last edited by gride300; 06-13-2010, 08:57 PM.

I recently refurbished my wetsounds Pro485s. In speaking with Tim the owner it seems that I have production pair #1 of the Pro485s. We initially used my speakers for some early testing out here on the west coast. We tested 485's and Pro 80's so I know that these were his initial offerings.
Here is a picture taken in April 2006. I am still running the same tower speakers today (I blew up the stock boat speakers in 2008).

im just a big fan of companies who do it right. and obviously my main point is asking what it will take for c.c. to get on the right path stereo wise. not to mention it's a boring sunday when it's 105 outside, you can't use your boat, and friends with boats are busy.

I was tied up with a long line of boats at a mastercraft tournament in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee yesterday and there were wetsounds speakers on almost every boat out there - regardless of make and model. For those buying new boats, people are starting to realize that you can order a new boat without tower speakers and its cheaper to buy wetsounds stuff and wrap it up in financing.
I've got 6 xs650's, 2 pro 485's, 1 XXX sub, 2 syn4 amps, one syn1 amp, and a ws420 eq right now. I wouldn't change anything. That XXX hits so hard the freaking water ripples around my boat. A guy came over from 4 boats away at the tournament and asked how many subs I had. When I told him I just had one 12, he flipped.
There's no one else even close to wetsounds right now, IMO.2012 Axis A22 - on order

I think you have the ultimate stereo set up Chattwake. That's exactly what I would get if I could get whatever I wanted. Not to mention you have one of the sickest boats ever to go with it.2001 Super Air Nautique (For Sale)
