lc1 install

I just got 2 new pac-lc1's in the mail and was wondering what is the best way to go about mounting them in-dash. The way that the screw holes are aligned it looks to me like they are only meant to be mounted under the dash?If somebody has advise and /or pictures it would be aprecciated.Basically i would like just the volume control knob sticking out of the dash.
any help would be great

I just installed 1 on my 2000 SAN. You have to remove the knob and unscrew the nut then use a screw driver to gently pry the face off. Its not to hard just take it off evenly. I just mounted mine behind the panel with it in the box it sits in, you will understand when you get it apart.
