I found a supplier for the USB accessory with a 6' cable that will work. I found others that have stock but they
have the longer cable on them that won't work. They have 6 left in there warehouse if anyone wants there number let me know.

Your AV guy may not know enough about signals in a USB cable.

USB is a digital signal. It is good for 15'. I have run it up to 35' with no loss in signal.

Actually he does know alot. He owns his own business and thats what he does for a living.
The length is not the concern its the connection and timing issues. If you could take the connector
apart and solder right there it would be the best. When you have to consider there is already a problem
do to timing with the iphone do you really want to spend the time to cut and spice only "maybe to find out
its not working right"? Since i sourced the right length I would just buy it, but if i could not i would give the spice a
        try.

Guarantee you that there is not a problem with timing in USB. It doesn't work like that.

            iPhone 3GS and Clairon M309

I'm having the same problem with this HU. I just bought it new, and replaced the old factory Clarion Tape deck. It will charge the iPhone, but can't play music from it. Using the cable that comes out of the unit (~3ft) then connected to OEM iPhone USB cable. No Media. Haven't tried an older 30GB IPod or 20GB (even older) Ipod yet. Hopefully those work as advertised. Otherwise, I'll be giving a not so nice call to Clarion. Talk about False advertisement!

I have the same problem. I have a new SAN 210 2010 with CDM 6 connected to the Linc.
The iPhone 4, 3Gs and multiple iPods dont work. Also if you have XM it wont work either through the linc system.
If you got the key fob remote for the Clarion it to will not work.
I have been tod it is because the Murphy Company who makes the Lincs has not uploaded the software..
