SV-211 TEAM, SUB & AMP PICTURES.

Would someone with a 2005 SV-211 please post some pictures of how the new Polk sub and the amp are mounted. I have one comeing in February and would like to see what kind of box the new sub is in. If the box is one of those fiberglass boxes they have used in the past I am going to build a new box.

I do not know for sure, as no one has responded to my question on the '05 stereo. I know some dealers who peruse these threads probably don't know either though, but if they do, they better fess-up!!
Anyway, if CC is going to introduce the new sub box, they are most likely going to start in the January-February delivery time frame, mostly for the boat shows. Anything before that, you will probably see them using up some of their old inventory.
Your guess is as good as mine.

The SV-211 has a new sub box that is fiberglass, and completly inclosed. It will mount on the side of the hull just like the old one. This box is also being used in other Nautiques at the factory

This is where CC lacks in their website unfortunately.... it shouldn't be this hard to figure out.

More searching has revealed a 211TE with the tube box and two clarion amps. The boat has factory tower speakers, so I imagine the second amp is for these.

Although my dealer recently said that my boat will have "clarion 480 x 280 amp" which doesn't make sense at first. But these two numbers are the two amps clarion currently makes for marine apps. One is 80RMS x 4, the other 80X2. But I am not getting tower speakers. It would be nice if there were two amps though, one for the interior four speakers (80x4) the other for the sub (probably ~250-300 bridged 80x2) and HU bridged for fronts.

is just me or does that wiring look really messy?!

i wouldn't expect that in my car which cost a third of the cost of my boat... I sure hope my boats wiring is a little more out of sight then that or its coming straight out!

has anyone changed out the OEM 2004 211 sub Box. The way it's mounted seams to cause alot of buzzing, and rattling. I don't want to change out the sub just the box. maybe it's because the sub bounces right off the optional cooler, what were they thinking?

any suggestions from you audiophiles? I like the 05 setup better, but not sure if the sub box would work?
