i have been looking really hard on where to put the subs on my 211. it is very challenging compared to the 210. i dont want to cut the boat glass or minimizee my storage room

subs dont do well in the storage area- the sound doesnt make it out and it rattles the side wall ( the side wall rattle is a pretty easy fix though).

here are some suggestions and let me know what you think..

    1. there is room underneath the steering column. the left side wall would require a foam filler to keep from rattling. you can put a 2.25 - 2.5 ft custom glass enclosure.

    2. a custom glass enclosure with 2-12's firing down in a ported box (2.65 cu) in/underneath the removable seat ( subs need 4" of clearance). this seem slike the ticket...the only modifaction that is made is to the removeable seat. also one could make the seat longer and have a more intergrated look like on the 226.

    any other thoughts ????

Top one is amp on '05 Air SV-211 TE

Bottom one is amp on '05 Air 210 TE - it still has the cooler, just forgot where they told me it was moved to...

I know the 2004 sv211 sub is 10 in, what is the polk sub in the 2005? I am looking to retrofit the 2005 box with the 2004 sub. The 2004 box points the sub right at the optional cooler, and I get too much noise.

        thanks

            Hi Guys,

I am not sure what the dealers are charging for this sub and amp, but I can provide a solution that should blow that away. For a high output Alpine 12" sub, 400watt amp w/level control, and the enclosure would cost $399. If you are interest please send me a note.

was out today with tyler o. on the madien voyage of his incredible 211 with the zr6 motor...

came up with an idea after looking at the factory sub mounted (tube design)on the hull and was thinking could the sub tube be mounted underneath the removeable seat ? it looks like it will fit.

would be curiuos to hear how it sounds firing into the corner and away.... anybody willing to experiment ?????

Wouldn't you have to move it every time you wanted to take out the plug.

If it will fit under there that would be great. I will tell you soon enough, my new boat just arrived at White Lake Marine this morning and they are unloading it as we speak.

the only thing i was thinking is the bottom of the seat may need to be rebuilt with 3/4" mdf to really secure the tube..... that is pretty minor surgery compared to having the entire seat redone

The rear seat sub has definately entered my mind, I will start on the stereo in a couple weeks when I can get it home. I don't want to bring the boat home while construction is going on in my backyard.

I replaced a cracked seat base in my 95 with a little thicker version of the same stuff the factory uses, I found it at Tap Plastics. It was not too difficult but I am definately not excited about cutting into my new upholstery. Maybe dash sub(s) for now.
