    What size battery?

I have two group 24 batteries in my 2004 SANTE 210. I am looking to replace them and was wondering if I should get a larger group battery.

Yes, by all means go with a larger battery for longer playtime at rest and so that your depletions aren't as deep pecentage wise which promotes longer battery lifespan, however more depleted amp/hours in combination with your audio system draw will place an inordinate strain on your alternator and the need for a large supplemental AC shore charger
becomes mandatory at some point. Extra large batteries are usually reserved for larger boats with twin screws and twin alternators or cruisers with large convertors/chargers. Tournament fishing boats have large banks but they're not connected to the stator at all. So you've got to understand where the dominoes fall as you enlarge one part of your charging system so that everything is in balance.

If you can, yes go with a larger group battery, but if you have the same physical dimensions in your hull as my '03 does a Group 24 will be as big as you can fit. I wanted to go larger when I just recently replaced mine, but the holes cut in the floor made it impossible for anything bigger unless I enlarged the space. Measure twice, buy once!
