Its hard to make direct comparisons. Even though both speakers are HLCDs they're very different.
The Wetsounds Pro485 gives you a larger pod displacement, larger midbass surface area and size generally equates to more output and midbass in an open field environment.
The HollowPoint gives you the next size down with a similar size motor structure (voice coil, magnet, etc) but in a very compact pod with a minimal hang height. And you have the option of widening the dispersion with two speakers.
So the size and look and location on the tower is different.
The single WS 485 can be driven with a bridged JL Audio J2 360.2 (360 watts) up to a Syn2 (700 watts).
The pair of 770s can be driven to full potential with a bridged JL Audio G4500 (250 watts per side).
