    wetsounds with jl hd amps

    I just put the jl hd amps on the wetsounds and they sound super crisp and clean and super loud no problems with heat on these amps im running a jl hd750/1 on a pair or 485s and a jl hd750/1 on a pair of pro 80s and a jl hd6004 on 6 ws650 and a 750/1 on a jl 12w7 the system sounds better then every i had 6 amps before this and they dont use as much power or volts

    Class AB amplifiers are still less expensive and certainly offer a greater watt per dollar ratio, at least on the surface. Class D fullrange amplifiers will definitely cost more if you look no farther than the power specs. But, unless you are constrained by budget there is no other reason to regress to 25 year old technology. One benefit of higher efficiency is that the amplifier that conserves current tends to operate with a higher supply voltage which directly translates to higher power in most amplifiers. So in the real world use (not just the test bench) of boat stereos an efficient 750 watt amplifier could easily out-perform an inefficient 1000 watt amplifier...not to mention the extended play time and the fact its decidedly friendlier to your charging system. With their strictly regulated power supplies the JL Audio HD amplifiers will maintain full power down below a 12 volt supply. And, they're 60 percent more efficient. Your not burning away extra power as heat.
