When two subs are separated, with different orientations, in different cavities with different
surrounding boundaries and the two subs are at different distances from the listeners, then this results in conflicted phasing which means the output of the subs will not sum as efficiently as placing both in a single .76 cu ft enclosure where they are symmetrically and compound loaded. Its very different than using fullrange speakers around the boat because they are not reproducing the longer wavelengths that subs do. Just consider it.
