    Is My Amp Broken?

So I finally got my tower speakers bolted up and all the wiring done. I have a two channel amp running some Deafcon III's. One of the pairs of speakers is loud and clear but the other one is barely audible but is producing sound. I switched the speaker wires and that switched which pair of speakers was loud. I then switched the RCA inputs and that switched which pair of speakers was loud.

Does this mean that one of the channels on my amp isn't working properly? Any other trouble shooting advice?

    Thanks. Will.

From your description I would suggest that you have an input signal problem. Either RCA cable is bad or headunit outputs bad.

Try 1 RCA hooked up at a time. try this on both AMP inputs. If both sides (speakers) work seperately this way without changing the speaker wire the amp is ok.

If this is the case, check the RCA cable. wiggle the conections or change out the cable if you have another. If still no go, I'd look at the headunit.
