I may be in the minority here, but that boat is ridiculous on many levels, and not in a good way.

I agree as well. I assume that's why he posted the thread on a forum that has a younger more exotic crowd. He probably knew it would not be very well accepted on a forum like this where classy and simple usually wins out.

Scott, you did not miss anything on the lake this weekend, it was packed.

if i won the lottery, i'd buy it and go park it on the other side of the lake to attract all the walleys. then i'd have nothin' but smooth water

Why do I feel like that boat will never actually have a rider behind it??? (Not that I would want to ever be seen near that boat myself)

                Guys,
As the title states it is a demo boat for the purpose of showing off the Wetsounds product.
And that function is best served in a manner that draws attention. As long as its a "demonstrator", and owned by Wetsounds, they have got to go all out on the project.
I appreciate many of the design elements and the installation execution even though a dealer other than us (Hydrotunes) did the job. Few dealers could produce these results even if given the same budget and time.

Wow. Interesting comments. I did not post the boat here since this is Planet Nautigue. I did post it on Tige Owners and Wakeworld.

Everyone who has seen and heard the boat has been blown away. It is a DEMO boat and used for demo's of Wet Sounds. Go to shows like SEMA and check out the custom cars and trucks and wild paint jobs and over the top stereos that are used to draw people into the companies booths.

The big difference here is this boat is a floating demo but also gets used EVERY weekend. We don't wakeboard anymore, too many injuries in our crew but we surf every weekend. This boat has 900 pounds factory ballast, 1000 pounds of lead pop bags and a 750 pound surf sack in the back locker plus the weight of the stereo!

Some pics making waves surfing and making waves with the dual XS-XXX subs

What David and Tim say makes a lot of sense, it does catch the eye and demonstrate the flexibility of this particular product in the marine world, so I'll assume mission accomplished. I guess I was speaking more to a personal application, not the demo application it was intended for. That being said, I do love the sound system set up, that is actually the most discrete part of the boat, minus the LED lighting of course. The same insall done on a nice clean boat I'd be all over. I would love to hear it, I'm sure it's amazing.

Yes, While I really appreciate the work and creativity that boat is definitely way too hip for me. Put me in that boat and I would look like someone who is reliving a mid-life crisis for the third time. My wife would interpret that boat as a declaration of independence.
But it looks really good on Tim!
