    Adding Tower Speakers

Thinking of adding a pair of Alpha 2 tower speakers to my pre-wired tower. What amp would I need for these?

Peak 280 watts per pair/140 watts each
RMS 120 watts per pair/60 watts each

This would be added to a system with the basic Clarion unit with the amp for the sub and I think there is another for the bow speakers.

A good starting point might be a JL Audio J2 two-channel amplifier that is 2x110 at 4-ohms or 2x180 at 2-ohms. Its around $170 shipped. While this is more power than you stated, some excess power is needed to drive tower speakers, plus, your actual power handling will be a little higher than the rated power since you're going to be operating in the highpass mode. This unit can also offer the additional power to explore other speaker options in the future if needed.
