    Bluetooth the way to go!

I decided some point back in the summer to connect my iphone up to my Clarion CMD6. That way
I could sit anywhere in my boat or on my dock and control my music. An optional adapter is required to
send and receive the bluetooth signals. It's made by clarion and it connects to the deck. I was not sure how good it would sound since it is wireless but it turned out to be great!
You get a range of around 30'. The only downside is the iphone does not support volume control via bluetooth. This is the fault of the iphone not the clarion adapter or unit.
It would be nice if the boat manufactures offered bluetooth as an upgrade option, however it is very easy to install yourself or have your dealer install it.
One other cool feature if you have the Linc system in your boat and somebody calls, the music will mute and you will hear your phone ring through the speakers and the Linc display will say telephone !!!
Great for waiting for a call from a friend when your blasting your favourite tunes having a cold one on the dock!!!

Cool Bluetooth with no hard wire install !

Here is an easier way to add bluetooth to your boats stereo system. The Clarion product works great but
it does involve wiring and going under the tight crampy spot behind the passangers seat.

I just recently found a product called Liquidaux by Kesington. Its a bluethooth adapter that plugs into your
accessory outlet for power and it has a 1/8" plug that connects to your stereo's aux in.
It will pair with any bluetooth device like my iphone and work just the same way as the Clarion adapter without
wireing it up. It can be pulled out and moved to another boat or car. It also works as a hands free unit for your calls with a built in mic. Too top it off it has a wireless remote that velcros to your steering wheel!!! Im going to order one and test it out. It also has a usb connection on it to plug your iphone/ipod or device in for charging.
I own a computer store and if anyone in Ontario wants one just let know and I can order them in !
