Has anyone had a Limited Edition delivered yet? If so what stereo system came standard with it?

It advertises the LE with the Sub & amp included but all the Limited editions we have had delivered over here have not included it...

Can anyone please let me know if their LE incl this or not...

    Thanks

RE: Stereo in 05 Limited Editions

OzzieSAN, from what I've seen, the '04 LE's have a small amp but no sub. On the '05s the small amp has been removed. As with the '04s these come with no sub.

As a standard, you can only get the sub & amp if you get the Team Edition. The sub & amp are available on the LE but as an option.

I talked with Clarion about the 04 small amps. They were suppose to go into boats that had the two extra bow speakers. The amp is a wopping 40w. Correct Craft put some of these amps in boats that only had the standard 4 speaker system not know the head unit provides 40w. In another word it does nothing. These amps also had the power lead wired to the battery instead of the the head unit blue wire w/white trace. The problem this created was the amp always on and drained the battery. Several people on this board can confirm this.

I have been told there is a TSB for the amp. The quick and easy solution is to take out the inline fuse at the battery that powers the amp. It's winter so it doesn't matter here. It will go in for service the end of the month for this and the steering cable recall.

Just to clarify the 04 LE does come with a small amp and a sub. Basically the amp was 200 watts and the sub is junk as far as Im concerned. I have an 04 LE. I took out my entire system the day I took it home from the dealers. If I was anyone purchasing a boat I buy it without a stereo and have it put in or do it yourself. By doing it that way you get exactly what you want. Just my $.02

Roddbod, are you sure you did not get the option for the upgrade on the stereo? All of the literature I have read as well as LE boats I have seen don't have a 200 watt amp and did not include a sub. You could get them but as part of the stereo upgrade.

The TE came with the upgraded stereo (amp & sub) along with the composite platform, ski racks, PerfectPass and ballast.

                Twintip,
Maybe mine was an option. Im not sure but if it was it wasnt worth the money I paid. Like I said I took out the entire system and put in a new one. Luckily I was able to sell the entire system to a guy in flordia who had his stock stereo system stolen.

                  George,
I have heard about the steering issue and originally I thought my SAN 2004 was alright, however I do have that worthless little amp and its wired directly as well. I replaced with a nice amp and have other stereo issues but do you know if all the SAN 2004 with those amps also need the steering issue resolved.

Call your dealer and have them cross reference your hull number with the TSB for both the amp wiring and the bolt on the steering system. All 2003 and select 2004 boats were effected by the steering recall. Both updates can be done in less than an hour.

                      Factory stereo systems are:

                      Signature = No stereo (optional)

Limited = XMD3 with 4 Polk cockpit speakers (bow speakers w/ 40w amp optional) (Clarion 480 amp with 10" sub optional) (tower speakers w/ Clarion 280amp optional)

Team = XMD3 with 4 cockpit speakers and 2 bow speakers with a Clarion 480 amp and polk 10" sub (Tower speakers w/ Clarion 280 amp optional)

Any optional item can be added to the standard package, this is how it's setup at the factory

                          Jeffro,

I just purchased a brand new Clarion DCZ625 cd changer from eBay. The price varies. I paid $90.00 for mine. Its compatible with the XMD3 Head units.

                          Hope this helps.

Just wanted to vent a little bit. Yesterday I was installing the bow speakers on my boat (new SV211SE), I was pleased to find nice fairly heavy gauge pre-wiring in the location. I was not sure how I was going to mount the Polk crossovers so I figured I would see what the factory did on the other four. Much to my dismay I discovered that the crossovers were tie wrapped to the speaker wiring. I ended up removing all the speakers and reinstalling all of them after siliconing the crossovers to the hull. Also, when I removed my dash pod I discovered most of the support screws that held the gauge panel were loose. One of the nuts had already vibrated off and it was laying next to the perfect pass module. I guess the good thing is that I found that rattle in the dash.

Don't get me wrong I think the 211 is a great quality boat, the fiberglass is so strong it took the teeth right off the hole saw I was trying to use to cut the speaker holes in the bow. I ended up having to use a sawzall with a metal blade (yikes, sawzall to the deck of my new boat). I just wish they would take the extra minute or so to mount speaker crossovers, tighten screws, and pick-up the leftover scrap cutouts left here and there. I have also seen just as bad or worse from the other manufactures.
