Thanks, David. I may give that a try. Of course, 9 times out of 10, I'm sitting in the driver's seat where my closest speakers are a 6.5 that is actually isolated and the sub.

I suppose so, but at the least, it beats the heck out of having it on the kick panel with the sub right behind it. Much more balanced sound field.
