Interior speaker upgrade

I have a 03 SANTE, and want to replace the interior speakers, it currently has the kicker speaker upgrade, can you mount 6 inch speakers or do you have to use 6.5 inch? asking because i can get a good deal on some kicker 6 inch marine speakers, but i want to mount them from the other side meaning the speaker grill to be mounted ontop of the uplustry. will the 6 inch speakers fit and look good and function, or will this be a pain to do?

Do you know what the model number is on the speakers that are currently in your boat?
I ask as I have an 04 SANTE with the Kicker speakers and want to upgrade as well.
I spent a good bit of time looking at Kickers web site today and I'm wondering if Kicker ever made a 6.5" marine speaker, everything I can find indicates all there marine speakers have been 6". The tower speakers on my boat are 6" Kickers, I have not pulled any panels off to check the interior speakers yet.

I'm afraid that true 6.5" speakers are not going to fit.
