What about a couple of shallow mount subs mounted on the inside hull next to / behind the driver seat.? Would need to be a glass enclusure, but would probably be pretty trick.

Careless, what did you ultimately decide on for your subwoofer? Any pics?

I bought a smaller cooler , same brand but smaller from academy. I the removed the mounts on the floor and reinstalled to compensate. Bought a ported marine enclosure for one kicker pro 10 and installed a separate amp next to the others. Sounds great and looks factory. Oh and I also cut an opening in the side door and installed a grill.
