2011 SANTE 230 wetsounds with Z5 cargo how to fit?

I had a pair of pro 80's in my last boat and LOVED them. I ordered them with my new super air but the dealer couldn't fit them with the Z5 cargo rack so I ended up with the Roswell Nautique speakers. Not happy. Anyone out there had success mounting the pro 80's or 485's or the new models with a Z5 on a SANTE 230?

My Z5 is getting installed with below my 485s this week. They shipped the bimini without a few of the brackets installed so we can move the placement and/or use different length struts....First the dealer said it wouldn't work, but then they talked to a few of the engineers at Z5 and "supposedly" have figured out a way....May have to move the speakers around a bit or tilt them a bit differently....

I'll get a few pictures up when done.

        chpprpiolt,

The 485's will fit with some slight mod's as mentioned.

My suggestion is to go for the new REV 8 speakers we just started shipping last week. They are not up on our site yet but you can see pics on our facebook page and there is a ton of info and reviews here

I have explained about all the details in those threads. So you can read all about the new technology.

The REV 8 is the PRO 60 sized housing with our new Rev Tec 8 inch driver. You get the output of the PRO 80 with a smoother sound all the way around in the small housing. The REV 10 is our new 10 inch Rec Tec driver in the PRo 80 sized housing.

Plus our new TC3-F fixed clamp offers super low hang height and speaker wiring through the center of the clamp so no exposed wires. So the REV 8 have LESS hang height than a PRO 60.

We also have our new patent pending TC3-S swivel clamp that offers full swivel and quick disconnect with integrated wiring through the clamp with an option for a 6 conductor to power the speaker and up to RGB LED lights all through the clamp with no wires visible. The TC3-S is very low hang height as well, only adding 1/2 inch of hang height to the fixed option.

I think you could fit two pairs of REV 8 on the tower and still be able to use the Z5 without having to lower it.

You can call my office at 877-938-7757 if you need more info

Just an update; I tried the Roswell Nautique speakers and was not impressed. So I tried the new Rev 8's from Wetsounds. Nice! They fit with the Z5 cargo rack and sound amazing. Once again Wetsounds delivered.

            chpprpilot,

Do you have the FCT3 tower? how do the rev 8's fit? I was thinking about adding just a pair on my tower this winter. Did you go with the fixed mount or the Swivel clamp? I'm leaning towards the swivel as it support RGB LEd's for future additions.

            Thanks,

            Mike

485s would not work without lowering the Z5 another 3-4 inches. I ended up selling my 485s and getting 4 of the new Wetsounds Rev10s. Put 2 on the tower above the bimini and 2 on the sides, close to where the stock Polk speakers would have went.

Wow, you fit the REV 10's under the Z5 on a 230? I went with the REV 8's because it was a gamble to order them without knowing, but if they fit then they'll be my winter upgrade. Got pics of your install?
As for mine, I have the fixed mount REV 8's mounted to the tower near the corners. I'll post pics ASAP. Love them but they're not quite as good as my PRO 80's from my last boat so I'm looking hard at either another pair of REV 8's or the 10's. Has anybody mounted an aftermarket speaker the the lower mounts on the tower below the bimini?

I can put one board (wake or surf) up there inbetween the two speakers.

We didnt get the Z5 for storage(4 boards can go on the racks and there is a ton of storeage in the rear lockers), but because it is way bigger and sits lower for more shade than the stock Roswell or Tower Bimini (I tried for a few months to get Tower Biminis to make me something for a 2011 and got nothing but the runaround from them).

Broken Bow was looking good man. Couple people said it was 14ft low, but we never had any problem launching or in the coves

Very nice. I'd like to mount another pair of REV 8's or PRO 80's on the lower mounts. Glad to see they fit. Where did you mount the additional amps to run those monsters?
