Clarion amp problem - blue power light flickers

The APX480 seems to be toast. I'm hoping someone here can help.

A friend was driving while I was surfing. She took a wave over the bow and got a little water in the port locker. The speakers now "tick" about every 2-3 seconds (it's steady, not random) and the power light just flickers - doesn't get bright, just a dull flicker of blue then dark again. The flicker is pretty quick, maybe 2-3 times per second.

Any suggestions on the amp? She feels terrible, I'm not too pissed, **** happens, I'd just like to get the problem fixed if possible. We now know when surfing we need to handle the boat a bit differently when recovering a rider.

Label all settings and wiring before removing the amplifier.
Remove enough of the chasiss in order to gain access to the circuit board...both sides if possible.
Look for any corrosion, white residue or mineral spots. Clean any corrosion with tuner wash and a very soft brissel toothbrush.
    Give it another try.

Oi, I was hoping to avoid this. Oh well. Thanks for confirming my suspicion!
