Hi guys,
just wanting to confirm what I read on another forum, I'm looking into assembling this whole setup:
''The optimal setup would be a simple clarion marine cd player that is made to perform under abusive marine conditions - get a syn4 and run 2 485s on the tower then get 6 wetsounds xs650s and run them off of channels 1,2, and 3 - then either buy a syn1 and a xxx sub or use a stock amp you have laying around on a wetsounds xs12 sub - tie it all together with a ws420.''
This is to be installed in my 2005 SANTE 210. The only differences are that I might only do 4 xs650's because I only have 4 in-boat speakers and hesitant to add 2 in the bow. I will most probably be getting an Alpine head unit like a CDA-9886M with a MC20 remote on my dash. The amp for the WS12 sub will be an Alpine 600.1.
1) Does that sound like a good setup?
2) I wanted to confirm the SYN4 could handle all those speakers? Pro 485's + 6 xs650's?
3) My boat only has one battery. Can I hook up another battery just for the sound system? Will I need 2 extra batteries? Will it be hooked up with my current battery? what is the best way to have it setup? what kind of battery should I get if I want to listen to music (with engine off) for max max 2hrs at a time?
I chose that setup because I believe it will be amazing and rather economical by buying more than half the stuff on the used market. I would love 4 Rev10's or any other all out combination but it will be too much and too expensive for my first system on my first boat! lol
*** I will buy the head-unit and xs650's locally but I will now be looking for a SYN4 amp and a ws420 if anybody has that for sale! ***
(485's, ws12, alpine amp are being purchased from another member)
