Does anybody have an oppinion on the new Polk tower speakers? Specifically compared to the Fusions? I thinking about upgrading. Thanks,

RE: Oppinions on CC Polk Tower Speakers
I am learning that it really depends on what you want to do with your tower speakers. Do you use them for the boater's benefit or the rider's? I doubt that there will be a significant difference but I tend to group most "door speaker in a can" speakers in the same category. I also think that asking a speaker designed for a car door to project sound 80' is too much to ask, if you are going to upgrade and you want the speakers for the rider not the boaters I might recommend you go with a pro-audio solution like the New Skylon Deafcon V or the NVS systems.

Both those companies use horns, right. That makes a lot of sense. I was going to buy the Nvert's if they ever got made. I was certainly sold on the horn concept. I do want to hear the music while riding and at 28-30mph for hydrofoiling, you need it loud! THose NVS's look huge, do you think a pair will fit nicely on a FCT?

RE: Oppinions on CC Polk Tower Speakers
I like the Polk db675 a little better than the mmc650's that CC uses for the tower application. The cones are a little bigger on the 675's, they are cheaper, and they are a little more efficient. I think the tweeter is the same just a different crossover, it has a little attenuation too which is not good for the tower application, but they might bypass it? The attenuation circuit might be the difference in efficiency.
