Opinions on NVS speakers... help me decide

Hello, im looking into purchasing a pair of NVS deviant speakers. Im just wondering how these compare to the wetsounds pro80 or pro10's. I think i can get a very good deal on the NVS's for 4 total speakers compared to the price of the wetsounds.

I really like the price of NVS, the fact they only hang 8.6" below my tower, and i know they are loud and clear as ****.

    Let me know your opinion

    thanks rob

    Hi Rob,

I am a pretty good fairly unbiased guy to answer your question. Between my buddies and I we have all of options you could consider, I ride behind all of their boats including mine with Pro 485s. Both NVS and Wetsounds make excellent products with great customer support. I am good friends with the owners of both companies, both are stand up guys, both own boats with massive stereo systems, both ride behind so they know their product from a users standpoint.

The Deviants will be stronger in the midbass than Pro 80's. There is no such thing as a Pro10, those are called Rev10's and are in the same series as the Rev8's, they are both different than a Pro80 or a Pro 60 or Pro 485. The Deviants are comparable to my Pro485's but the big horns of my 485's are a bit smoother and stronger than those of the Deviants (we are talking fine details here, not massive differences).

From a durability standpoint the Wetsounds might have a slight advantage but have recommended Deviants or Prodigy's to my friends several times over the past year for various reasons, they are 100% satisfied with their NVS speakers. Likewise everybody that has purchased Wetsounds by my recommendation is also 100% satisfied. Once you get into this league you can't really make a mistake.

You will see more Wetsounds speakers on boats here and other forums due to heavier advertisement. I'm running the NVS Prodigy's on mine which are slightly more expensive than the Pro 485's. Either speaker however will make you more than happy. Both take roughly the same power requirements. I can't comment on the construction or sound of the Wetsounds, but I'm extremely happy with my NVS's. Customer support from both companies has been exceptional. You can't go wrong with either. Good luck deciding, make sure to post pics!!
