Subwoofer venting on '02-'06 SANTE 210, show me your setup

    Hi guys,

just wondering how you guys vented the passenger side storage for the bass to travel through the boat.
    Pictures would be the best.

I was thinking maybe cutting a hole and puting a plastic grill on the front of the passenger storage, where there is an opening under the seats or in the walkway. I've attached a picture, just follow the really ugly red arrows. lol

    Thanks!

    Not my boat btw.

Mine has a big port under the observer seat overhang. Does a nice job and you don't see it much.

I cut this hole out to match the hole in the pad. Stapled on some 99% screen from Home Depot. It looks factory.

I'm going to get the boat tomorrow and I'll post a pic. And yes, where your bottom arrow is. Basically it's cut in almost an oval shale about 12" long and 3 or 4" tall, with some carpeted molding around it to make it look nice. the vent itself seems to be just flat, perforated aluminum.

seth that looks great, good job! I see your sub is firing upwards.

gride, I'm looking forward to those pics.

My sub will most likely be towards the rear of the boat, should I do both vents or just the bottom one? The lower one seems like less trouble so it's obviously more tempting.

Do both. I had this added and its a whole new system. I know not your year but same concept. The smaller rear facing vent may not be enough.

I made this and will add it soon.

I wish my vent was bigger. To be honest, I'm about to put the sub under the drivers feet. I need that storage bc with stock wedge tanks and wedge sacs there's no room for 10 vests plus non cga riding vests. Just my two cents.

The vent I made was really easy as well, and made a big difference! I think it was loosening 5 nuts on the pad and the 4 screws on that structural bar and a jig saw to cut it out. Just trace the opening with a pencil before you take it off.

Thanks for the pic, I think I'll start with a vent in that area first. Did you notice a difference with that vent?

Yes I did. It looks fairly stock too without much cutting.

Visor- I would recommend starting with your walk-through first. You don't have the carpet to mess with in cutting the walk through and you are also going to gain more air flow/air space with cutting those slots in the walk through versus under the observer seat. Also that area under the observer seat is load bearing, whereas you are not structurally compromising by sawing in that area of the walkthrough.

The walk through will allow a lot of water(in my guestimation) compared to tr observer vent. If my fat a$$ can sit on it then it's not compromised at all.
                            Good luck
