I currently have 2 pro 60's on my boat but have been hearing lots of good things about the rev 8's. Can anyone explain the difference? Is the sound noticeably better? Thanks

tmb,
The Pro60 has a 6.5" midbass driver. The REV8 has an 8" midbass driver. The larger driver delivers deeper midbass extension plus more midbass & lower midrange output to compete with a more powerful theater-type horn tweeter. So you have a better balance and a warmer sound with the REV8. Beyond that there have been a number of smaller refinements and especially in the crossover that make the REV8 a far more linear speaker. By 'linear' I mean the lack of peakiness or irregularity in the response. This translates to a far more neutral and musically sounding speaker that still projects like crazy but is far more appealing for near field listening.
