Just hooked up Perko switch but my current batteries are dissimilar, one is a red-top Optima and the other is a Die-Hard auto battery. I was in Costco today and saw they had Interstate brand marine batteries and the one I was interested in was only $86- each and had the following specs: 750MCA, 600cca, 160 reserve capacity. 17hrs @ 5 ampere load, 5.2 @ 15. Group 27M. I only want to run 2 batteries total. Boat is a '97 supersport, stereo includes 4 6.5" speakers inboard running off the head unit, 1 Kenwood 600w amp pushing a pair of Kicker KMT6 tower speakers. That's it. Possible later plans to add a second amp and a 12" sub. Don't run any other accessories that would be a constant draw on the system. Would these be good batteries for my setup? I could buy 2 of these batteries on the cheap and have a pair of brand new like batteries and feel better but don't want to buy them if they are not going to be ideal for my situation. Please give your comments. Thanks!

Being in Orlando you could just use two deep cycle batteries. Start batteries hate being discharged. I recently installed two deka marine master flooded deep cycle group 24 in my boat and they crank it up just fine. They were $87 each. I am however, about to add a starting battery and combine the deep cycles bc I'll have 2 big amps and be running pumps, etc.
