repacing accent lights with LED's ?

I bought about 6 different LED strips to add to the SAN, the boat has accent lights in the rear undercarriage area, would it be possbile to cut the wires to these lights and splice them into the LEDs and essentially control them from the dash? also I have a light bar on the tower would I be able to run the LED's into it as well?

Yes you have it right. You can just splice them back into the factory wires and they will still be controlled by the switch on the dash. You make have to cut the factory wiring harness off to re-splice the wires, but just use the proper connectors and tape them up real well and they will be fine.

Just did the same thing this past weekend. Super easy and what a difference from the dull yellow factory lights. I used a roll of 20 ft. with two sided tape and did both gunwales, under steering wheel, passenger storage, and glovebox. For $30 and 3 hours of time, I now have super white LED's throughout the boat which really helped bring it up to date a little more.

how did you run the one under the driver and passengers? did you wire them all to the stock switch on the dash?
