2002 Sport Nautique - Stereo Upgrade Options

I have a 2002 Sport Nautique with the Clarion XMD1 deck. I am looking to swap it out with something compatible with my iPhone. Does anyone know if the Kenwood KMR-700u will fit in the opening where the Clarion is?

What size are the front and rear speakers? I am looking to remove the factory speakers with the cloth covers and replace them with something else. Any suggestions?

Also, any suggestions or photos of wired remote locations on your boats? I currently don't have a remote but would like to add one.

The opening on the kmr 700 u is the same opening as a standard single bay. I have one on my 2006 Air Nautique and it is the best system I have had in my boat. At one time I thought that I had blown the system and purchased a new one to put in it's place, which I still have new in the box. If you know someone who needs one, I will sell it cheap. It still has all the protective covering and never been hooked up.
