I was just trying to install my rev 8's with swivel clamps on my new 2012 210 and realized I would need to drill a hole in the tower for the swivels to work properly. Any of you guys that have installed new wetsounds with swivel clamps, are you using the tower adapter? using regular clamps and mounting directly to tower? or using swivel clamps and drilling a hole in tower? I don't want to spend another $150 on tower adapters but if it is the best scenario so be it.

TMB,
I just got the REV 8's with the swivel clamps, I at first thought I would need new holes as they are on the side of the tower tube not on the bottom. I was able to run the wires on the inside of the clamp and was just really careful tightening them down. The wires will kinda fit if you bend them slightly. No help with the FCT5 however as I have the FCT3 tower.

I'm concerned with pinching the power wire from the speaker and breaking it.'18 SAN 210 Reef Blue/Admiral Blue Metal Flake

we do not recommend pinching the wires. To make sure your speakers do not short out over time, it is best to drill a hole for the wires.
tmb, the adapters for the FCT5 really make for a nice clean install as they mount to the factory locations, have lower hang height and you dont have to drill the tower as the wire goes inside the side of the adapter and down into the center for the clamp. So it is very clean. You also dont have the clamp attached to the pipe this way so it looks factory. I know it is a bit more but in the long run, gives a clean install.
Let me know any other questions or what you came up with
