    2003 SANTE CMD6 MV1 remote install

I'm upgrading the XMD1 in an 03 SANTE with a CMD6 head unit and MW1 remote. I have everything needed for the head unit, but is there an adapter to install the MW1 remote in the same location as the original remote for the XMD1 head unit? I understand the remote cable has to be swapped which I have, but I'm looking for an adapter to mount the MW1 remote. Is there one?

Adapter? I assume your not talking about connecting the cable but the bracket to hold the remote in place. There should be one included in the remote kit (U shaped). I did a similar upgrade in my previous boat and everything I needed was in the box (remote).

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I mean a new faceplate for going over the MW1 remote, inplace of the original faceplate for the old remote.

i just did this on my 2003 SANTE last week. You need to order the part from nautiqueparts.com Its a remote control bezel -round remotes. its $79.00

Just some tips from my experience. Wire the remote cable up the boat through the bow to the steering wheel. I tried it going around the back seat and the 25ft cord isnt long enough. you also need a 3in circular drill bit to drill out the circle in the dash. the original remote will leave a hole on the left side of the new hole so you will need a 1/4in strip of wood to screw the new MW1 remote down. my finished job looks good and was a lot better than paying a lot of money to install

          Thanks.
Do you know where the old remote cable ran? I was thinking I could cut the ties and just pull the new one through while pulling the old one out. Is this not possible? I just got everything with the exception of the remote faceplate today, so I haven't started yet. I figured I would need the drill bit, but will wait until I have the faceplate to cut the whole for mounting. Do you by chance have any pictures of what you did to mount the new remote?

i dont have any pics of the installation but you will need to hold the remote bezel in place with one hand and drill a 3in hole with the other. the remote cord is buried underneath the carpet so you cannot pull the new one through. i just left it.
i did use cable ties as much as possible and ran the remote cord through the backside of the bow using the screws in the carpet to " screw cable tie " it down
