    Speakers quit working

I have an '09 Air Nautique 236 and over the winter had a ballast tanks and wet sounds tower speakers installed. Prioir to these installations all my other speakers worked great. When I picked the boat up (dealer is about 2 hours away) they told me the amp for the subwoofer and boat speakers had blown. They drop shipped one to me and I hooked it up. It worked good for about 2 weeks and then the amp was showing that it was in "protected" mode. I went and got a new amp and put it in and can get some bass out of the boat speakers and sub, but no high range sound. I still get sound out of my wet sounds speakers. I have no idea what is causing this and no idea where to start looking. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a bad speaker is blowing the amp. normally the factory system has all the speakers in the area behind the windshield and the sub working off of the amp.

locate the factory speaker wiring, and undo the rediculous splice job CC did and connect them one at a time. you will know which one is bad.

You should be able to test each with an ohm meter....maybe while connected to the amp.
