    Ipod install

How much Ipod to rca cable will I need to go from the radio to the driver side? I have the Clarion XMD-3 and I thought that I would mount Ipod where I can easily adjust the playlist. Also, Has anyone tried the new Monster Icruise?

Tony, do you have an open or closed bow? If you have a closed bow, you can route the cable through the top hinge from the flip up seat (inside the storage compartment), from there take it to the drivers side (I take it you will store the iPod on the starboard side). If you have an open bow, you can follow the remote control cable. Either way, remember to add some slack to the end where the iPod will be stored. If you want to make it a nicer install, add flex tube (they sell it at Radio Shack, marine stores and even Home Depot) to hide and protect the cable. It will look as if it came from the factory.

MonsterCable has a nice cable to connect the iPod to RCA's. It is about 7 feet long. This should be plenty if you have a closed bow. An open bow might require a longer length depending on how much slack you want to have at the iPod.

I have a 210TE. Seems like everything is 7', which seems a little short.
