    Radio control issues

I have all Clarion radio control equipment in my boat (Im guessing its the factory stuff) but for some reason the guy that had it before me put a kenwood deck in it. Now neither my swim deck controls or my controls by the steering wheel work. I was told I cant use my remotes with the new Clarion decks does anyone know if this is right or are they trying to get me to buy new remotes in all? and if this is so does anyone have and old Clarion deck (Pre 2009) that they would wanna get rid of?

You have to swap the remotes, cables and Y's on newer head units.

Post a pic of the control and I will be able to match a head unit to it.. If not I will tell you your SOL.. Or tell me the model number of the control if you dot want to take a pic.

Those work with a Clarion CMD5 or older source units. They will not work with a CMD6 and newer Clarion source units. Our Earmark site store lists the source unit compatibility for all the Clarion remotes. Just visually identify your remote and read the text. Like mentioned above, if you change out to the newer remotes you must also change out the connecting 24 ft cables and the Y adapters.

                Aqua,
Sorry. Checked high and low. No remaining CMD5, XMD or older DIN-sized HUs that will work with your existing remotes. These units have been discontinued long enough that even refurbished units are a poor option. So the used market is about it.

Just a thought. Maybe a few Nautique dealer parts departments have an older unit stashed with very few opportunities to sell one.

I have one for sale. Just pulled from my 2003 SANTE to put in a newer CMD6. My remote buttons started failing. I have no idea what they are selling for.
