No sound to the tower 02 SAN 210

Ok so I've searched the forum but cant find my specific problem so here goes. I have the rear output RCA's going to the sub under the dash to power the speakers on the tower. I suddenly have no sound to the tower. I thought I could balance the speakers to the rear output to see if I had any sound and I have nothing. I checked the amp and it's got power, i tested the wires to the speakers and they have good continuity. What I cant tell is if the M455 Clarion has lost output to the RCA's that the tower speakers are on. How would I test it? I think the stereo head unit is original so it's possible I need to upgrade.

I even replaced the amp to see if there was an internal failure but the spare amp is acting the same. Is it possible there is an internal fuse on the RCA's that go to the tower? Sorry for the dumb questions but I'm not a stereo guru. Please dumb it down if you can, LOL.

You say the amp has power, but is it powered on (lights on)? Same issue with my set up at the beginning of the year and it was as simple as the amp fuse had wiggled loose. Just pushed it back in and good to go. I would check the fuse to make sure it is not blown and it is seated properly. Otherwise, I would check your head unit setting to make sure that the outputs have not been turned off. Go to the clarion website and I am sure they have manuals if you need it.

Simply switch the front and rear RCAs temporarily. If the issue remains you know to look at the amplifier wiring. If the issue is resolved then you know to focus on the source unit rear RCAs.
I am not aware of a default setting on that particular unit after a loss of power. But check the owners manual for programming variables.

The amp has lights on it and they are lit up when the head unit is turned on so I assume it's fine. I've tried so many different methods I cant remember what happened when I switched the RCA's. I'll give it another whirl this weekend. Thanks I'll update then.
