    install today

just dropped the boat off to have a new 420 and an xs-12 in a ported box installed. the sub is going behind the driver's seat. it's made of birch, coated multiple times in bed liner, all seams sealed, and with hdpe feet from earmark. this time the 420 power/ground will be on the same power/ground as the amp and i'll be using a relay for the syn 6's and 420. i'm curious to see if there's less tower noise considering i have no idea how the current 420 is wired except i know it's not to a stereo battery. i'll post pics tomorrow or friday when it's finished.

I'm loving the xs-12 with 600w. We planned on firing it the other way, but it sounds best firing into the hull. It may look messy, but it's really not. I'm very pleased.

A stereo shop did this install? wow, hope you didn't pay too much for that.

A shop vac would do wonders for your boat.

Thanks for the comments dick yes a shop did it. Using existing wiring and didn't charge me a penny for labor. What's your problem with it? I don't have the cash right now to order hdpe sheets and run the wiring under it. There's no spegetti wires hanging around, no noise, and it sounds great. As for the vac, come on down to Alabama and let me kick you in the face. My boat works spectacularly. Jeff, feel free to delete this entire thread.

As for debris and other flaw lines at the edges of carpet, color contrasts, texture contrasts, etc., digital photos can exaggerate what you see in real life. Other than that, it's a tough crowd.
