Disable audio on startup? (Linc 1st gen)

Any advice on how to disable audio on startup? I have a 2012 210 SANTE and everytime I start the engine, the music starts playing from the USB key I have attached to the console. Problem is: the volume goes back to where I left it last time it was playing (e.g. the day before while we were boarding).

I believe the boat has the first generation Linc system. Does anyone else have this problem and how do you go about it? Having to switch off the stereo from the glove compartment would be a pain each time....

I don't think there is a way to mute audio on start-up. If you're not already using the Audio Intensity setting I'd suggest checking it out. With Audio Intensity you can have your stationary volume level pretty low (tolerable at start-up) but automatically dial up once you're moving.

If your boat is a 2012 like you mentioned, then you have the 2nd generation LINC system. I always shut down the head unit before I shut down the linc on mine. One more step but just a quick push of the power button on the head unit and I'm done.

You can power off the head unit directly from the LINC system by holding the source button until the head unit powers off. This is on the 2012 boats.

Yeah, I've tried that but it never powers off, the head unit just keeps scrolling through the sources for eternity but never powers down.
