The factory sub is not at all a bad one if you built a correct small box like this:

KMGS, how many batteries are you running, and how many amps is your alt? i am looking to install a fourth amp

I have two blue top Optima batteries (D31M)....but these are meant for long drain and not high demand power that the amps put on them. I think my winter project for the boat will be adding an XS Power battery(ies) with a high output alternator (and fabricating a surf gate).

So far I haven't had an issue with power, but they definitely need to be charged after every use. I added additional pictures after having added an AudioControl EQS (EQ and line driver....the line driver made world's of difference on the sub and all the speakers - clarity and volume) **still needs to be cleaned up...
