    Lighting please help

I am wiring some orange lights into the air intake grill on the side of my 230. I am not quite sure how to wire them though. Should I go directly to the batteries or splice the wire into one of the factory installed courtesy lights?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Perry,

Exterior lighting on a boat, that is not a red, green or white that's visible at the correct locations, can draw unwanted attention from the officials. For that reason, I like to put that kind of lighting on a dedicated toggle switch. With low current draw accent lighting, you should be able to draw your B+ off the courtesy lighting circuit with a fused wire to the hot side of your new toggle. from the switched side of the toggle, run to your lights B+. Run the lights GND to the helm's GND BUSS bar.

The LEDs in my vents are hooked to the interior courtesy lights, works great for my use patterns.

Weezy at WaveNoize is who you should talk to. He did mine and all my other lighting/audio. He's great to work with and will help you with whatever. His number is 704-682-6177. If you'd like to talk with me about my lighting, feel free to PM me.
