I am doing an audio overhaul over the winter. I want to replace all of my interior speakers with POLK MM 6.5s. Does anyone have any guidance or step-by-step pics or anything like that to help me out on this project?!?! I have heard you have to take the side pieces off because the factory speakers are mounted from the back. Please Help!

If your boat has the cloth like covers over the speakers you can cut that out from the outside, staying inside the piping and you will be able to access the screws that are holding the clarions in place. I installed Polk's in my last nautique and they were a definite improvement over the factory clarions. It was a pretty basic remove and re -install.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower

I forgot to mention that its an easy change out as long as you front load the new speakers.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower
