There are lots of guys running thier NVS speakers with a PPI 4125, they can be found on e-bay in the mid $300s. Orion, Phoenix Gold also make close equivalent amplifiers. My tower speakers are very similar in load characteristics to the NVS 808, I am using a Hifonics ZX6400 and it seems to work fine. When I start to lose the high frequencies I know that I am cutting out too wide... As an ex-waterski jumper I tent to go too wide and too fast so it helps.
