Amp and LED advice please

I know a lot of you are not fans of the krypt brand, but they are the route I have taken.

I'm putting 4 of them on my tower in four separate cans. I am far from a stereo geek. Novice at best actually.

Can someone lead me down the correct path to a fairly inexpensive amp to run these? It will be dedicated to just these 4 speakers. I don't even know where to begin.

While we're at it... I'm also interested in adding LED light in my air vents. What LED's are usually used for this?

Most any 6.5" HLCD is going to like neighborhood 150-200W rms a piece. The ideal amp is going to be a 2 chnl. With 2 pair, I would shoot for an amp with a 2 ohm x 2 watts rms output of 250W-350W. This would net you 125W to 175W to each. As far as an actual price-point brand or model, im not sure of any off the top of my head that will deliver true watts rms in that range. Here are some I can recommend. Wet Sounds Syn-2, HT-2, Arc KS300.2, Kicker IX500.2, JL 750/1. Now, you may find a couple of cheap and small 4 chnls that would deliver 200 x 2 rms and run dual amps, one to each pair. Takes a little extra real estate and cabling, but could be an inexpensive option worth looking into.

LED's: We use a variety of surface mount and flush mount pods. Some are single LED and others are multiple LEDs. We also use bulk strips and cut them to length to fit the install. When doing exterior LEDs, Im a fan of putting them on a dedicated switch. This allows you to turn them off, while leaving your other interior "courtesy" lighting on. Exterior illumination can attract unwanted attention if you get my drift.

Just a general suggestion on the amps, go with a proven marine amplifier such as Wetsounds, Exile, or JBL. They run more efficient than those designed for automobiles and will save you some battery life and charging issues.

Wait a minute. Hold the phone. All the fullrange Exile amplifiers are Class AB which is very inefficient.
You can get 60 percent more efficiency from the Wetsounds HT or SD series, 40 percent more efficiency from the Wetsounds Syn series (with the exception of the Syn6), and 60 percent more efficiency from a JL Audio XD or HD series.

To expand on what David was saying, just because an amp is built for the marine environment or for car audio, has no correlation to its efficiency. Also, just because an amp has an "M" in its part number and its marketed as a marine amp, doesn't make it a marine amp. One needs to did deeper and ask questions. And I believe the JBL marine amps are also Class-A/B.
