    2012 210 SANTE Bluetooth?

So I did a search on here . . . nothing. I checked Clarion's website . . . didn't see anything. Has anyone had experience getting bluetooth connectivity in their boats? Would love to be able to control the ipod from anywhere! Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!!!

What head-unit do you have? It may be BT ready, which means you need to add the available BT receiver, or it could have the BT receiver built in. In that case, there should be a procedure to pair your BT transmitter with the unit.

I can go out and look at the head unit tomorrow, but it is whatever is standard in a 2012 SANTE 210.

My guess is you have the Clarion CMD6 deck and will probably need to hook up a USB to Bluetooth adapter in order to make this work...

Thanks, does anyone have experience with a good one? I've searched and found:

http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2010/audio/accessories/BLT370/us-en-product-pf_1259392722474.html Seems a bit expensive, anyone have experience with it? Seems a bit expensive, anyone have experience with it?

http://www.amazon.com/Medialink-USB-...etooth+adapter Does anyone know if this would work?

          http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Bluetoo...o+receiver+car this one might work too . . . ?

looks like it is only available for the CMD6 Bluetooth® Interface Ready (Optional BLT370) and not the CMD7

I remember reading somewhere that you could use any Bluetooth adapter and didn't need to use the Clarion one. Let me see if I can find the thread...

with that adapter will you have to be able to see it for it to work? is the 210 usb for aux in the glovebox? you would have to have the glovebox open for it to work.

clibka-did you take pics b4 and after of the cleaning? I thought my 196 was clean b4 i sold it and used that product and could not believe the amount of dirt.

All my experience with bluetooth (I don't have particular experience with this adapter) says that you do not need line of sight, so it can stay in the closed glovebox. It will take a little bit of finesse to make it a clean install because the 3.5mm audio jack is next to the steering wheel, while the powered usb jack is in the glovebox. There is a USB interface next to the steering wheel, but I do not know if it is powered, as it is used to update link, would appreciate some insight if someone has it.

I ran an auxillary 3.5mm audio jack over to the glove box so I have powered USB and the auxillary 3.5mm audio jack togehter. At least on the 200 OB this was very easy. I leave everything plugged in and then just to push the button to activate. After that the Iphone works great from anywhere in or near the boat. I was actually surprised when I set this up how simple and seamless everything was.

I would enjoy some pictures of your install if you have access, if not thank you for your input thus far!! I don't know how similar the 200 to 210 is.
