I'm also thinking of doing this on my '12 230. Why these boats havent had a BT factory option for years is beyond me

Not a great pic, but you can see where I have added the 3.5 mm aux input. The bluetooth adapter is plugged into USB for power only. On the 200 the stereo box is right behind the glove compartment. Only challenge was drilling to hole for the aux plug.

Stopped at marine max the other day, apparently there is a new clarion deck that should fit where the stock one does. It's about $200, so a little pricey for Bluetooth but since I'm upgrading my entire stereo, might as well get the new deck too2012 SANTE 230

I am going to go with this:
http://www.amazon.com/Miccus-Mini-ja...I3NFVCEEQM3E78
So the problem here, please correct me if I am wrong, is that the power source (USB) and the input (3.5mm) are not in the same place on our team 210's. The USB that goes to the stereo is in the glove box and the 3.5mm jack is in the drivers console by your left knee. To make this clean you need to get both of those inputs in the same place. The one solution is to simply relocate the 3.5mm jack from the drivers console into the glove box like JHarris did above, the problem with that is: glove box space is at a premium the way it is and I would prefer to mount the adapter in the locker under the passenger seat. I think we could make it a bit cleaner and hide the BT adapter by utilizing something like this ...
http://www.nautiqueparts.com/usbauxp...cable13ft.aspx
I would imagine we could use a USB splitter off the head unit (if there isn't two USB inputs already) and mount it somewhere accessible so you could still turn it on, but out of the way so it isn't taking up room.
Thoughts? Is there a better way to get power to this adapter near a 3.5mm? Why isn't there a BT adapter that gets its power from and sends it's output to the USB?!?!First and Current - 2012 210 SANTE

Not familiar with the Clarion deck as I have Kenwood, but does the actual deck have a USB port? My kenwood does and I could put a bluetooth adapter straight into it. This way you wouldn't have to worry about the 3.5mm cable. Can anyone shed some light on that?

We have USB for sure, but I haven't found a strait USB Bluetooth adapter that will work, if you have let me know!!
There's a thread over on ww about this and Tim from ws says to expect something very soon, they also pointed out an option from crutch field that will probably work.First and Current - 2012 210 SANTE
